SSAP’s Attendance in the China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair

China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF 2010) was opened in Shenzhen on 14th May. As the leading enterprise in the area of digital publishing, Social Sciences Academic Press mainly exhibited the achievement about digital publishing products, which included the database of Yearbooks, the database of Overall Competitiveness of China’s Provincial Economy, database of Ancient Books, as well as the forthcoming database of Guide to the World State. During the exhibition, Mr. Jiang Jianguo, the vice administer of General Administration of Press and Publication has made an inspection visit to our exhibition area.
SSAP has carried on a long period explosion in the domain of digital publishing, and generally developed its own way for digital publishing. It started to produce SSDB compact discs in 2004. Those compact discs are either electronic books or database. After that, SSAP consequently released some ancient compact discs such as Chinese Dictionary of Words and Phrases and KangXi Dictionary. By the end of 2009, it has published 130 categories of ancient compact discs in sum.
 Apart from the CD products, SSAP is getting into the construction of academic website and the D&R of network database products. In 2007, SSDB is successfully updated from CD version to network version; In 2008, database of Yearbooks and database of Ancient Books were released; In 2009, database of Overall Competitiveness of China’s Provincial Economy was presented; Data base for Guide to the World State and China’s Brief History will be available by the end of 2010.
