From August 13 to 22, at the warm invitation of Australian “China Books” and New Zealand China Friendship Society, a 45-person delegation of Chinese publication which is organized by China International Book Trading Corporation (CIBTC) visited Australia and New Zealand. Zou Dongtao, the editor-in-chief of SSAP has attended the visit.
The first stop is Australia, the delegation participated the Chinese Book & Culture Exhibition in Melbourne.
Australian “China Books” was established in 1989, which is the largest Chinese book store in Australia, with some branch store in Sydney and other cities. The annual sales turnover is 2 million AUD (13 million RMB). 65% of the book supply is from CIBTC.

In New Zealand, the delegation and the New Zealand China Friendship Society have jointly held the Chinese book donation activity. The delegation donated 560 books to Te Aro Chinese School in Wellington. .
Alistair·Shaw, the Deputy Secretary-General of New Zealand China Friendship Society and the professor at Victoria University, has accepted the donation book on behalf of the New Zealand China Friendship Society.

This book donation activity is the fourth time which is organized by CIBTC, with the aim to promote the development of Chinese teaching as a second language in New Zealand. Professor Alistair expressed his sincere gratitude to the event, and showed his hope to further expand the cooperation in publication and cultural exchange between Chinese publishing world and New Zealand China Friendship Society.
