As a leading expert in Asian historians, 滨下武志 made a significant contribution to China, East Asia and the world of historical research to explore the new areas. He used an approach called “historical interpretation” to annotate the East Asian regional system and the evolutionary relationships of the world economy since 16th century. Professor Bin Xia in the background of East Asian regional orders and then in Europe, America, Asia’s trade and financial orders to re-interpret China’s position. The framework which formed after a long gestation is used to understand the state of world market. His research has stirred layers of ripples in Japan, China and International academic community.
