Annual Report on China’s Central Region (2011) focus on the subject of the approaches and strategies on China’s central region development in the period of 12th five-year plan. It includes four parts: general report, comprehensive reports, regional reports and topic reports. General report generalizes the basic situation of the development of China’s central region during 11th five-year plan, and puts forward its development approaches and strategies in the period of 12th five-year plan. Comprehensive reports deal with several issues in China’s central region, such as the transformation of economic development mode, the acceleration of new type of industrialization, new type urbanization, further openness to the outside world and the development of strategic emerging industries. Regional reports analyze the basic approaches and main development strategies for six provinces and two cities in China’s central region. Topic reports discuss several important problems existing in the development of China’s central region from the perspective of different sectors and industries.
