Annual Report on the Development of China's Study Abroad（2012）No.1 is intended to reflect the newest situation and characteristics of the development of China's study abroad and to analyze the hot issues appearing in that process. This report includes five parts: the general report, the regional reports, featured reports, comprehensive articles and appendix.

The general report reviews the history of the development of China's study abroad, focusing on its characteristics in the new century, including the dramatic increase in the number of students, the popularization of study abroad, study overseas at younger ages, the diversity of study choices, etc. This part also elaborates the situation of China's study abroad from 2010 to 2011, and forecasts the continuous heating of China's overseas study.
