The emergence of the examination-oriented education system is related to the fierce education competition, the corresponding social stratification order, and the changes in the education system; on the other hand, it is inherently related to the "unity" of the college entrance examination. Taking the education system of a region as an example, this book deeply analyzes and presents the systematic examination-oriented education system formed around the unified college entrance examination, that is, the resource allocation and economic incentives based on the entrance rate, the classification process of teachers and students based on subjects and test sites, knowledge, strict, precise and efficient time management, and high-intensity exam-taking disciplines for teachers and students. The examination-oriented education system and the unified college entrance examination strengthen each other and become the most important constraint condition for China's college entrance examination reform at present. Weakening the "unified" orientation of the college entrance examination and delegating power to colleges and universities is a possible way out of the examination system.
