This book attempts to explore the cultural identity, group consciousness and causes of migrant workers' online communities. The study finds that online communities only reinforce the tendency of individualization for migrant workers, and fail to transcend or replace the group formation based on blood, geographical and professional ties. The interaction and communication of migrant workers in online communities not only fail to effectively promote the organization of migrant workers, but also dissolve their group consciousness to a certain extent.
