On the one hand, this book attempts to explore the theoretical framework of work environment research in Chinese organisations and to analyse social solidarity in organisations, conflict and integration in organisations, protection and inclusion in organisations, participation of organisational members, role structure and interaction of organisational members, and the structure and function of organisations. On the other hand, the book attempts to provide an in-depth analysis of the work environment in Chinese organisations, based on data from the China Work Environment Study survey, by looking at work time, workplace, work rewards and work participation. The authors hope that this theoretical and empirical discussion will provide a more comprehensive picture of the work environment in Chinese organisations and provide insights into the overall research and dialogue in the field of work environment in a disciplinary sense.
