This book contains both a case study of comparative literature and an overall review; both questioning and responding to hot issues in comparative literature, as well as criticism and construction of methodological issues. The study in this book involves not only the early classics of comparative literature in its infancy since the late Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, but also the rapid development of comparative literature in China after the founding of People’s Republic of China, especially since the reform and opening up. On the basis of this, we will make an overall observation and reflection on the occurrence, development and existing problems of China's comparative literature, so as to help China’s comparative literature to a better future.
