As the monarchy and the eunuchs occupied key positions in the political structure and operation of power, the scholars of the mid-to late-Ming dynasty recognised the prominent political role of the eunuchs and placed their hopes of influencing the emperor on the indoctrination of the eunuchs, who were the closest to him. This book discusses the specific actions and political significance of the mid- and late-Ming scholars' efforts to indoctrinate eunuchs in terms of the mechanisms of teaching in the eunuchs' educational institutions, the compilation of books for the indoctrination of eunuchs, and the shaping of the moral and political policies of the town's middle officials. It is clear from this study that the ideals of the scholars of the middle and late Ming dynasties, namely, "to get the king to do the right thing", did not decline, and that the study of the world did not become inactive due to the rise of the monarchy and the popularity of teleology; there was a healthy interaction between the scholars and the eunuchs in the political culture, which was obscure but not obvious and hidden but not visible, and became increasingly homogeneous. This will provide inspiration and reference for the study of the history of Jing Shi thought and the political history of the court in the Ming dynasty.
