About the author(s):

Description:

In this book, gender relations are summarized into four forms: marriage, love, body (sexuality) and same-sex friendship, the first three in a narrow sense, i.e. marital relations, and the fourth in a broad sense, gender relations. These five discursive forces influenced the creation of women's fiction in the 1990s in varying degrees, resulting in a complex state of rupture, dislocation, and bridging and maintenance of gender relations. The author concludes the book with some ideas for rebuilding the ethics of gender relations in response to the limitations of women's marriage narratives in the 1990s.
