Pagoda inscriptions, which are the burial tower inscriptions of monks, are biographical literature and mainly describe their life stories. This book takes Taming as the research object. It not only collates and compiles more than 400 Buddhist Taming documents of the Sui, Tang and Five Dynasties, but also combs and counts the Taming with the name of the calligrapher. On the one hand, this book deeply discusses the generation and evolution of the tower inscription, and studies the stylistic characteristics and literary aesthetic characteristics of the tower inscription in the Sui, Tang and Five Dynasties; On the other hand, from the aspects of social culture, history, calligraphy aesthetics and other aspects, it analyzes the various links between the Ta Ming and social ethos, cultural ideology, and value orientation, and explores the complex political and historical events behind the Ta Ming, so as to deeply analyze and reveal the literature value, literary characteristics, cultural connotation, and historical clue value of the Monk Ta Ming of the Sui, Tang and Five Dynasties.
