This book is an intellectual-historical study of the Yale School. Its purpose is not to objectify and introduce the Yale School, but to put the paradigmatic features, linguistic intuitions, and temporal poetic insights of the Yale School's literary theories into the context of the entire history of Western thought to examine their metaphysical value. The duality of writing, the intricate interactive mechanism of the three dimensions of language and the three vectors of time discovered by the Yale School not only provides new intellectual resources for resolving various metaphysical quandaries, but also initially pioneers a philosophy of occurrence and a poetics of generation.
