Studies of Maritime History is an academic journal sponsored by the Ocean History Research Center of the Guangdong Academy of Social Sciences, sponsored by the Chinese Academy of History. This book is the 17th volume. The articles are mainly selected from the 2019 International Academic Symposium on "The Pearl River Estuary and the Pacific-Indian Ocean Seas Exchange in the Great Maritime Era" and the "2019 (Second) Ocean History Research Young Scholars Forum". The content includes life history of marine society, East Asian trade and regional politics, history of the Pearl River Estuary, marine archaeology and introduction to marine literature, etc. The integration of global history and comparative perspectives has promoted the study of marine social life history, conceptual history, and cultural history, and provided valuable references for maritime regional history and marine geospatial research in terms of methodology.
