About the author(s):

This book reports the findings of a research project funded by the China Foundation for International and Strategic Studies. Contributors, many of who come from such professional organizations or higher education institutions as China Association of Arms Control and Disarmament (CACDA), China Foundation for International and Strategic Studies (CFISS), and Institute of International & Public Affairs at Tongji University in Shanghai look at the nuclear strategy of Russia, Britain, Israel, India, and Pakistan, as well as our own. In addition, there are discussions about the DPRK nuclear issue and China’s policy response, the global nuclear strategy and the unique role of the U.S.in this area. Comparison and contrast among the nuclear strategies of different countries shed light on how some of the problems the world faces on the nuclear front might be addressed.
