About the author(s):

Description:

From around the 1890s to the 1960s, Africa was under brutal and exploitative colonization. But the hegemony was fragile and was unable to effectively control the changes in colonial society, which was reflected in all aspects of colonial social changes. This book focuses on the African colonies under the rule of British and aims to show the dramatic changes in African society during the colonial era and highlight the active role of the African people in the process of social transformation in the colonies. On the premise of adhering to historical materialism, the author strives to broaden the field of research, not only focusing on colonial rule, but also trying to show the changes in African society in an all-round way; combining colonialism with social changes in Africa, emphasizing that Africans are the main body of historical changes in Africa.
