The book is based on the basic theory of the geopolitical effects of building a strong maritime nation, focusing on the history of building a strong maritime nation in the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, France, Japan and Germany, and following the process of "outward-driven effect, window of opportunity effect, land-sea mutual benefit effect, rival convergence effect, resource black hole effect and land-pressure-sea shrinkage effect". In this study, the author analyses the geopolitical effects and response strategies of the major countries in building their maritime powers, and examine their successes and failures in building their maritime powers from the perspective of geopolitical effects.
