First, a higher level of general awareness is needed about the strategic significance of independent innovation to China’s economic growth and national development. The second one calls for continued efforts to strengthen both cutting-edge as well as basic research in science and technology, and the cultivation of high-value talents in this area. And the third one is to promote vigorously Chinese enterprises’ independent innovation ability, especially in regard to their core technologies.
