As an international cooperation and exchange platform for China's opening up to the outside world, the China International Import Expo (CIIE) has been successfully held for five consecutive sessions since 2018, fulfilling the promise of “continued success in the year to come” and having a wider international influence. The annual CIIE is a grand event for China's development to provide new opportunities for the world, as well as a global economic and trade exchange conference in which China actively connects with the world market, opportunities are interconnected, innovation is shared, industries are compatible, and rules are connected. On the basis of summarizing the previous five CIIE, this report analyzes the overall situation of the fifth CIIE from the perspective of “creating an open and beautiful future together”, and explores the positive role played by the CIIE in building an open and beautiful future from three aspects: the CIIE brings unprecedented “big market” opportunities, the CIIE promotes the sharing of institutional opening opportunities among all countries, the CIIE deepens the sharing of international cooperation opportunities among all countries in three aspects. Thus, this report provides reference for further hosting the CIIE and enhancing its international influence and attractiveness
