Following and improving some research methods and techniques of the CSR Blue Book (2009), we organized the preparation of the CSR Blue Book (2010).The content of this book is as the following four majorities: summary, index chapter, thematic chapter and appendix.
Index chapter is a detailed interpretation of “China top 100 firms’ CSR Development Index (2010)”, it contains four main sections: “Responsibility Management Index”, “Market Responsibility Index,” “Social Responsibility Index”, “Environmental Responsibility Index”. Based on the summary of annual progress with respect to the CSR management, product quality, consumer protection, employee rights and interests protection, production safety, public welfare activities and environmental protection, the chapters above give us detailed interpretation respectively on China top 100 corporates’ responsibility management index, market responsibility index and social responsibility as well as environmental responsibility index. Besides, it also analyzes and summarizes the annual feature of these entire indexes.
Thematic chapter is a compilation of special studies on important enterprises’ CSR by the constitutes of “ISO26000 and China CSR”, “Government and Corporate Social Responsibility: Theoretical Framework, Tool Selection and Practical Experience”, “CSR Column Development Index (2010) of China Top 100 Firms’ Official Website”,“China CSR Negative Information Disclosure”and“Foundation Operation and Revelation of Domestic and Foreign Enterprises”. Among these, “CSR Column Development Index (2010) of China Top 100 Firms‘ Official Website” is a new annual tracking evaluation, it analyzes and rates the corporates’ official website CSR column from the following six aspects: the site visibility, structural integrity, the information dynamic, information interactive, access friendly, perspective internationalization. so as to research the development features of the CSR website and promote the enterprises to pay more attention to the CSR column construction.
