Annual Report of Chinese International Migration (2012) is the first Chinese international migration report in China up to now. With the enhancement of comprehensive strength and the extension of economic internationalization, China is integrating into the process of international migration in the world. International migrant original from China and into China is rapidly increased over last three decades, especially last ten years or so. They have significant impacts on China's development as well international movement of the people in the rest of countries and regions in the world. Rapid development of China international migration cannot be overturned in the expected future due to basic national policy of opening-up that China is unswervingly implement, development experiences of international migration in developed countries and regions, as well the development trend of international migration in the world.

China international migrations are facing great challenges, such as the complication of problems, caused by the big distinctions of culture and system and the huge gaps of economical and social development between China and the other countries and regions, as well ongoing global economic crisis. Keeping the balance between respecting and protecting the right of international migrants and safeguarding the national interest is an inevitable way to make efficient management and resolve relevant problems on China international migrant issues.
