Description:
Annual Report on the Development of China’s Study Abroad (2013) No.2 aims to examine the latest situation and characteristics of the development of China’s study abroad and to analyze the hot issues appearing in that process. This report includes five parts: General Report, Investigative Reports, Regional Reports, Feature Reports and Appendixes.
The Report reviews the current situation and trends of international students’ mobility worldwide, and describes the development of China’s study abroad in 2012. The second part of the report focuses on hot issues in China’s study abroad: the increase of overseas students, diversification of major choices, lowering ages of overseas students and “brain circulation”. It stresses that the Chinese government should pay attention to the following challenges: the protection of overseas Chinese students, the monitoring of overseas education market, expanding channels for overseas students to return and attraction of foreign students to study in China.
