Description:
Following and developing the research methods and technological routes of CSR Blue Book (2009/2010/2011/2012), we write the CSR Blue Book (2013).The book is constituted by 5 parts:Overview , index(Top 100 Firms Index, Listed Companies Index) ,industry and appendix.
The overview is “The CSR Development Index of Top 100 Firms in China (2013)”. The CSR Research Center of CASS Economics Division builds a comprehensive appraisal system to evaluate the situation of CSR management and the level of CSR information disclosure. The research objects are series of top 100 corporations in China, containing top 100 SOEs, top 100 private enterprises and top 100 foreign-invested enterprises. By collecting the CSR information via their CSR reports, annual reports and official websites, we did an all-around research on their current CSR management and CSR information disclosure between 2012 and 2013.
The Top 100 Firms Index chapter is a detailed interpretation of the overview, and constituted by 3 chapters, which are “The CSR Development Index of Top 100 SOEs in China (2013)”, “These CSR Development Index of Top 100 Private Firms in China(2013)”and “The CSR Development Index of Top 100 Foreign-invested Firms in China(2013)”.These 3 chapters explain the CSR development index and summarize the CSR annual characteristics respectively.
The Listed Companies Index chapter is a research about the listed companies in China, and constituted by 3 chapters, which are “the CSR Index of Listed Companies in China”, “the CSR Index of Shanghai Stock Exchange Listed Companies (2013) ” and “the CSR Index of Shenzhen Stock Exchange Listed Companies (2013) ”. These 3 chapters explain the CSR development index and summarize the CSR annual characteristics of the CSI 300 respectively.
The Industry chapter includes from Section 7 to 20. The research group analyzes and evaluates the CSR development level of 14 industries, such as power sector, banking , communications, electronics industry, petroleum and petrochemical industry, metal manufacturing, computer industry, equipment manufacturing, real estate, food and beverage industry, automobile, retail and consumer chemicals industry, and apparel industry, etc.
In appendices, details of “The CSR Development Index of Top 100 Firms in China (2013)” are given in Appendix 1 and those of“The CSR Development Index of Top 100 SOEs in China (2013)”in Appendix 2. Next, “The CSR Development Index of Top 100 Private Firms in China (2013)”is listed in Appendix 3 and “The CSR Development Index of Top 100 Foreign-invested Firms in China (2013)” in Appendix 4. In Appendix 5-7, we list the CSR Development Index of CSI300(2013), Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange in CSI300(2013). We list the CSR Development Index of 14 industries in Appendix 8. Finally, we introduce CSR cloud, the CSR online database.
