The volume is the product of joint work by researchers from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Development Research Center under the State Council, National Development and Reform Commission, National Burear of Statistics, Tsinghua Universityand more than ten research institutions, government ministries and colleges and universities across a number of different academic fields. It reports findings from a research supported by a grant from The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. Contributors give an in-depth analysis of the state of and trends in Chinese economic operations and developments. Discussions in the book focus in particular on policy-making, finance and investment, industrial restructuring, employment and foreign trade. Forecast for 2015 is also presented.
