There are three parts to this volume. Part I gives a comprehensive analysis of the relations between the ASEAN countries and China, reviews the turbulent developments in Southeast Asian countries in both domestic and foreign affairs in 2014, these countries’ active preparations for the formation of an ASEAN Economic Community and measures the government of all concerned countries have taken to facilitate the upgrading of a bilateral free trade zone. Part II examines the society, economy, and politics of ASEAN countries, including some of the  issues, especially those in politics, that have garnered significant media  attention. Part III provides an in-depth analysis of Sino-ASEAN relations.
