The book reviews developments in those areas in which China has made the most progress in the rule of law in 2015, including e legislation, human rights protection, rule of law in the government, judicial system reform, and enforcement of the criminal law. Featured articles cover such topics as trends of crime in the country[d1] , reform of the administrative approval system, environmental public interest litigation, rule of law in the securities market, private lending activities and other issues. In addition to six evaluation index reports on e the rule of law, the book presents research findings about judicial system reform, e-court construction, the rule of law at county level, the role of Big Data in local governance, and village self-governance in Beijing and Jilin, Guangdong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces.
