Description:

Chinese rankings and international bench-marking is theme of Annual Report on China’s Hospital Competitiveness(2020~2021). China,Japan,Australia,New Zealand and 15 ASEAN countries formally signed the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership(RCEP),the largest free trade agreement in the world,in November 2020. Asclepius Hospital Management Research Center(GAHA)keeps up with the trend of China’s integration into globalization. It is the first hospital ranking in China to launch the international hospital ranking and competitiveness report to provide an international reference benchmark for Chinese hospitals.

This book is an annual industry report based on a series of rankings of “Third-party Hospital Stratified Evaluation System” by GAHA and a comparative study and summary analysis of the 2019-2020 ranking results.

Based on the results of 22 ranking of China’s hospital competitiveness from 2019 to 2020,this report provides a hierarchical analysis of Chinese hospitals in order to provide a reference benchmark for hospital development. First of all, from the perspective of medical resources and regional operation,it is found that the unbalanced distribution of medical resources in various regions of mainland China has not been broken. However, due to the orderly advancement of the hierarchical diagnosis and treatment system,prefture-county hospitals have developed rapidly in recent years. Secondly, the report analyzes the differences in the medical level of several Asian countries and regions from different perspectives. Through analysis,it is found that the best hospitals in China,Japan and South Korea play the role of national medical centers in their respective regions, and undertake the tasks of diagnosis of difficult and critical diseases, implementation of sophisticated and sophisticated operations, and training of top talents. Compared with the hospitals in ASEAN countries, hospitals in mainland China have a relatively good advantage in terms of medical level, and have the strongest regional competitiveness, and they are all public hospitals. Thirdly, according to the provincial competitiveness index, the provincial medical resources balanced degree and other relative competitive factors, the report comprehansively analyzes Chinese hospitals. It is found that the eastern region still has absolute competitive advantage compared with the western region in terms of medical resources, while the western county-level hospitals are gradually narrowing the gap with the eastern and central regions in terms of medical service capacity, but there is still a large gap;the influence of hospital ownership on hospital competitiveness in different countries shows an inconsistent trend. Fourthly, this report discusses and summarizes the development status of non-public hospitals. Under the continuous promotion of the national policy of running hospitals by society and the restructuring of state-owned hospitals, the number of non-public hospitals continues to increase, especially the number of tertiary hospitals and general hospitals, which causes comprehensive strength of non-public hospitals constantly improved;the number of non-public hospiatl Group listed in the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong rose by seven from the previous year.
