There has been a serious social division. In the context of the COVID-19，the advantages and disadvantages of the two systems of socialism and capitalism have been highlighted，and the pattern of the two systems and the comparison of international forces have shown a trend of “the eastern countries are rising while the western ones are descending”. In 2020，under the strong and unified leadership of the Communist Party of China，China has struggled to overcome the impact of the epidemic，won the final victory in poverty alleviation and built a moderately prosperous society in all respects according to the original plan，creating a miracle in the world history. At the same time，the third volume of “Xi Jinping：The Governance of China” was published，marking the new height of the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the continuation of a new chapter in Marxism in the 21st century. The achievements of socialism with Chinese characteristics have important theoretical and practical significance for world development and the international communist movement.

In early 2021，as the COVID-19 epidemic continues to spread in the West，socialist countries have basically controlled the epidemic. DPRK，Laos，Vietnam，and Cuba successively hold new Party congresses to elect a new leading collective of the party and country.
