After the “Annual Report on Guangdong，HongKong and Macao Bay Area Construction（2018）” and the “Annual Report on Guangdong，HongKong and Macao Bay Area Construction（2019）” received good social response，the Guangdong Academy of Social Sciences paid close attention to the development of the Bay Area in the post-epidemic era and organized relevant experts to compile the “Annual Report on Guangdong，HongKong and Macao Bay Area Construction（2020）”. This book comprehensively summarizes the construction achievements in a number of major fields from the fourth quarter of 2019 to the third quarter of 2020，and makes a reasonable prediction of the future development trend based on the academic and practical analysis and interpretation of many hot issues.

The book consists of one general report，five sub-chapters （24 sub-reports），expert views （4 short articles） and major events. The general report focuses on the construction of the Greater Bay Area under the new development pattern. Starting from the four perspectives of the new development pattern，the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone，the epidemic situation of the New World，and the 14th Five-Year Plan，the report comprehensively and dialectically discusses the risks and opportunities in the new development stage of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The five chapters focus on infrastructure，economic and trade，scientific and technological innovation，cultural bay area and institutional innovation respectively，including 3-5 related research reports. The articles of Infrastructure describe the progress，shortcomings and prospects of infrastructure construction in the Greater Bay Area since the fourth quarter of 2019 from five aspects：integrated transportation network，waterway and port cluster construction，airport cluster construction，information infrastructure，and the case of Beijiang waterway. The articles of economic and trade，with the integration of manufacturing and networking，digital finance，foreign trade，Marine economy，etc.，as entry points，describes the development of several major economic fields，and forecasts their future development trends. The articles of science and technology focus on the hot and painful issues in the development of science and technology in the Bay Area，such as the cooperation of science and technology，the mechanism of achievement transformation，and the space of knowledge creation. The articles analyze and forecast in depth and detail with a large amount of data and cases. In the articles of the Human Bay Area，several emerging fields or hot topics，such as the integration of culture and tourism，the combination of medical care，youth exchange，Chinese and overseas Chinese，have been fully discussed. In the articles of institutional innovation，there are both general research reports on the connection of rules in the Greater Bay Area and research reports focusing on specific regions，including special economic zones，free trade zones and special administrative regions. These reports have elaborated the glorious course of institutional improvement and innovation in the Greater Bay Area from different aspects.

In the last part of the book，the important views of several well-known scholars from Guangdong，Hong Kong and Macao are collected.
