The year of 2020 is unprecedented in all human history,COVID-19 has becoming a test for countries worldwide,not only China but countries all over the world. Philanthropy development has ushered in a new era of development during the crisis and changing.

In the midst of a major change unseen in a century,China’s philanthropy is showing a surge of momentum due to the fight against the epidemic. Although the growth rate of the total amount of social organizations continues to slow down,and the nationwide mobilized governance system continues to strengthen the absorption of social resources,the total amount of charitable resources is still showing a surge,and volunteer services have also achieved high-quality growth. On China’s road to human poverty reduction and epidemic prevention and control,the family-nation community has been unprecedentedly strengthened.

According to data from the Ministry of Civil Affairs,as of the end of 2020,the total number of social organizations nationwide was 894400,representing an increase of 3.21% over 2019. Among them,there were 375000 social organizations,511000 social service organizations,and 8385 foundations. The annual growth rate was 0.81%,4.93% and 10.62%. As of the end of September 2020,a total of 463 charitable trusts have been established nationwide,with a trust property value of CNY 3.242 billion. As of the end of 2020,554 overseas non-governmental organizations’ representative offices have been legally registered in accordance with the law across the country,representing an increase of 8.41% over 2019,and 3239 temporary activities were put on record,representing an increase of 32.64% over 2019.
