2021 is the beginning of China’s new journey of building a modern socialist country in an all-round way. It is also the first year of the “14th Five-Year Plan”. It is the year of transition between poverty alleviation and rural revitalization. The more in such a special year，the more important it is to maintain the coordinated development of various regions，departments，and fields of the national economy. From the perspective of practicing the concept of coordinated development，the more theoretical and effective it is to analyze and evaluate the level of China’s high-quality economic development. Realistic meaning. With the theme of coordinated development，this year’s high-quality development blue book has established an evaluation index system for China’s coordinated economic development，with a view to scientifically，comprehensively and constructively evaluating the level of coordinated development as an important part of high-quality development，and putting forward relevant policy recommendations.

The general report is based on General Secretary Xi Jinping’s interpretation of the connotation of coordinated development，based on statistical yearbook data，using entropy method to empower，the basic situation of coordinated development in 2020 and the coordinated development of the country and 31 provinces，autonomous regions and municipalities in 2020 and the coordinated development from 2001 to 2020. The trend of change was analyzed and calculated. The results show that the score of China’s coordinated economic development index in 2020 is 67.05，and the relative gap in the level of coordinated development among various regions across the country is relatively small，and the level of coordinated development in developed regions is weaker than that of underdeveloped regions. In the past 20 years，China’s coordinated economic development index and its secondary indicators have been improved significantly，and the level of coordinated development in underdeveloped regions has been improved more than developed regions in the past 20 years. In the future，we should comprehensively deepen reforms to remove the system and mechanism barriers that hinder coordinated development. While promoting the improvement of the integrity and balance of internal development in developed regions，we should promote the development of underdeveloped regions to accelerate the cultivation of growth poles with strong linkages.

From the perspectives of regional coordination，urban-rural coordination，material civilization and spiritual civilization coordination，economic and social coordination，economic construction and ecological construction，the sub-reports of the evaluation section will report on the national and 31 provinces，autonomous regions，and municipalities in 2020 and the past 20 years. The results of calculation and analysis of the coordinated development situation in 2020 show that after excluding the influence of weight factors，the scores of China’s regional coordination，urban-rural coordination，material civilization and spiritual civilization，economic and social coordination，and economic construction and ecological construction coordination index scores are 88.13，62.72，25.67，43.25，87.58，all have a significant increase compared with those of 2001. In the future，while continuing to deepen the coordinated development of regional，economic and ecological construction，we should also focus more on promoting the coordinated development of urban and rural areas，and the coordinated development of economy and society，and make up for the shortcomings of the coordinated development of material civilization and spiritual civilization as soon as possible.

The sub-reports of the section，strategy，and thematic section respectively focus on the four major regional sections，the national key regional development strategy，and the hot issues in the field of regional coordinated development. The section analyzes the progress of the development of the western region，the revitalization of the northeast，the rise of the central region，and the first modernization strategy of the eastern region，reviews the coordinated development of the major sectors during the 13th Five-Year Plan period，and summarizes the achievements and existing problems.
