It’s the midpoint in 2020 for ASEAN Community heading to the Vision 2025. Although the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic since the beginning of 2020 has been giving a serious impact on the development of ASEAN countries and the construction of the community，with the international assistance from China as a representative and cooperation in the region and abroad，ASEAN has still achieved the progress as follow：phased results in fighting against COVID-19 pandemic，suppressing on economic downturn，mid-term inspection as scheduled of the communities construction including Political-Security Community，Economic Community，Socio-Cultural Community，and planed for the construction after 2025. As a major event in ASEAN’s economic progress in 2020，the “Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership”（RCEP）was successfully signed，and the “centrality” of ASEAN has been further highlighted in the framework of regional multilateral cooperation. As ASEAN became China’s largest trading partner in 2020，China-ASEAN relations have developed rapidly，which promotes to build “closer China-ASEAN community of shared destiny”. In 2021，with the rebound of COVID-19 pandemic in ASEAN countries and political turmoil in Myanmar，ASEAN seems to face to a dim prospect as how to control the rebound，restore regional peace and stability…
