This book summarises and analyses the problems and achievements in the construction of a beautiful land with clear mountains and clear water in Chongqing from a number of dimensions. The study finds that the construction of a beautiful place with clear mountains and clear water has achieved remarkable results in terms of ideology, pollution prevention and control, ecosystem restoration, green and low-carbon transformation of the economy, construction of beautiful homes in urban and rural areas, and building ecological governance systems and capacities, but there are still gaps compared to the requirements for maintaining ecological security in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and even the Yangtze River basin, and the uneven development between different regions needs further attention. In the future, Chongqing will promote the modernisation of the harmonious coexistence of man and nature, build a typical example of a beautiful China and a leading demonstration of green development in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and contribute Chongqing's wisdom to the building of a green "Belt and Road" and a community of human destiny.
