In 2022, the socio-economic development and employment of China have been severely impacted by multiple unexpected factors, faced with a complex and severe situation. Throughout this year, the employment situation has remained basically stable despite the uncertainties in the macro environment, but stablizing employment is confronted with lots of pressures due to significant fluctuations in major indicators, weak growth momentum, and increasing risk points. At the same time, focusing on guaranteeing and stabilizing employment, the Chinese government comprehensively implemented employment priority policy along with various policies to further reduce burdens and stabilize jobs .For the near future, China's employment situation still has favorable conditions to maintain overall stability, but also faced with a volatile situation of external environmental uncertainty, long-term impact of the pandemic, uneven recovery of development, and lag effect of economic slowdown. Encountering with complex and grim macroeconomic and employment situations, we must implement the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, adhere to the principle that employment has a vital bearing on the people's livelihood, implement the strategy of giving priority to employment, strengthen the employment priority policy. For instance, balance macro-policy objectives, strengthen policy support, ensure stability on expectations and strengthen confidence; optimize employment policy system, adopt targeted measures to help enterprises and promote employment; improve the mechanism for promoting diversified mechanism on employment, ensure the employment of key groups; strengthen unemployment monitoring and early warning, improve the mechanism for tackling unemployment risks.
