This book focuses on the background significance, general layout, key tasks, problems and challenges, strategic choices and paths to achieve ecological civilization in China, and puts forward general ideas and suggestions for advancing the construction of ecological civilization with Chinese characteristics. At the same time, an evaluation index system for the construction of ecological civilization with Chinese characteristics was constructed, and a spatial and temporal dynamic evaluation of the national and provincial levels of ecological civilization construction from 2011 to 2019 was conducted. The study found that the overall index of ecological civilization with Chinese characteristics is generally on the rise, and there is obvious heterogeneity in the construction levels of provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) due to the constraints of regional economic and ecological environment and other conditions.
