Rural development is the foundation and core of China’s development. NGO plays a unique irreplaceable role in the development of rural development. This book reviewed the history of civil organization in rural areas, and laid stress on the six categories of NGO: active social cultural civil organizations in rural areas, NGO of women’s development, water users association, professional economic associations, rural grassroots financial organizations, and workers organization of NGO. It discussed the relationship of rural development and showed the development status, explained the existing problems and pointed out the development strategy. This work is the first one in domestic academic world that research on classifications of civil organizations.
