The book builds up a research ideology about “city development from the visual angle of community”. It sets the floating population gathered community in cities as a basic survey point, collecting individual samples of the floating population, forming the qualitative and quantitative data, and then describing and comparing the floating population. It is a new attempt to research floating population in urban communities, working on a new observation window and a new analysis path, deepening the acknowledgement of migrant population and their socio-economic status, broadening the thought on relevant policy design and improvement.
