Born out of foreign sociology, Social Theory has took a broad view of social sciences and humanities, put all the theoretical thoughts of those in line with “social life and the cultural product of human action” into the horizon. While evaluating a variety of sociological theories abroad and world's latest trends in social theory, it also published articles of the Chinese Mainland, Taiwan and Hong Kong as well as foreign scholars’ social theory as a reference, especially the articles are rooted in the China’s local experience and those are with original theories. The purpose of this book is to encourage the development of the theory with Chinese local features and China’s domestic social development in order to deepen and mature China's social studies and sociological research.
