This book is based on the urbanization development and reform process of ports on southwest borders, and on the basis of the construction of the urbanization quality evaluation index system and evaluation method. The ports of Yunnan, Xizang, and Guangxi are used as empirical samples. It analyzes the urbanization characteristics of the three types of ports, including "the front bank, the central area and the city in the back," and "the port town", and further explores the natural and social conditions of the urbanization of the southwest border port. At the same time, with the help of the SWOT analysis method, the urbanization construction of the southwest border port was evaluated, and the comparative experience of urbanization at home and abroad was used as a reference to explain the urbanization development path of the southwest border port, forming a strategic positioning for the urbanization development of the southwest border port.
