This book gives a comprehensive introduction to China's carbon emission development status and influencing factors. It focuses on administrative carbon emission reduction policy scenarios, as well as market-based carbon emission reduction policies including carbon emission rights trading and carbon taxes. The scenarios are simulated to predict and evaluate the macroeconomic effects, carbon emission reduction effects, industrial structure optimization effects, and residents' welfare effects of these two types of policy scenarios, and systematically and forward-looking optimization strategies for achieving carbon emission reduction goals are proposed.
