In this book, a systematic survey on the progress of China's smart city construction was conducted and it finds that China's smart city construction starts early and pays off quickly, which has gained a series of achievements in the field of network-based information technology. It has been leading the world in smart shopping, smart logistics, smart finance and other fields, and in smart agriculture by the rapid development of intelligent manufacturing areas such as, the gap with developed countries has been narrowed, and other areas at present is still in its infancy from the point of regional development, smart city construction in eastern ares is in good development, but some Midwest cities also develop rapidly. China has almost finished the primary task of smart city construction. At present, there are some problems in the construction of smart cities in China, such as unclear understanding, each city administers in its own way, construction without plans, lack of scientific guidance and poor investment and financing. This book also proposes some suggestions for the the construction of smart cities.
