This book constructs an analytical framework for the supply of public goods that fits the characteristics of Chinese villages, while using a large sample of nationwide hierarchical survey data to conduct empirical analysis and obtain more reliable empirical findings. The book also analyses the impact of village labour mobility on the supply of public goods. The book re-examines the empirical findings of previous case studies and local survey data through high quality hierarchical data, explains the economic reasons for the occurrence of the phenomenon, evaluates the policy effects of the current village public goods allocation model, constructs a theoretical model that fits the characteristics of Chinese villages, explores the optimal allocation model of public goods in Chinese villages, and provides ideas for reform.
