Research on the Ways to Enhance the Credibility of Local Governments in the Context of New Urbanization is a result of the National Social Science Foundation project. The manuscript is based on the background of new urbanization and adopts a combination of theoretical analysis and empirical research. Firstly, the connotation, influencing factors, and theoretical basis of local government credibility are explained in theory. Based on this, the current situation of local government credibility in rural land acquisition is analyzed Questionnaire surveys and interviews were conducted on the credibility status of local governments in the transformation of shanty town, the supply of public goods, and the environmental pollution control process to obtain real and objective survey data. Then, from the level of citizens' political awareness, the satisfaction of citizens' demands in the process of new urbanization, public policies In terms of specific administrative actions of civil servants, we will delve into and explore the variables that affect and constrain the credibility of local governments in the context of new urbanization, as well as the logic behind them. Then, we will propose effective ways to enhance the credibility of local governments in the context of new urbanization from the perspectives of government concepts, legal systems, functional allocation, decision-making mechanisms, governance methods, and governance capabilities, To propose some valuable considerations for promoting the modernization of local government governance and even the modernization of national governance system and governance capacity in China.
